Introduction to IoT Sensors - Types of sensors for microcontrollers

 What is sensor ? 

Sensor is an electronic device that can  sense the changes Made in the environment. This system is called a sensor. In the electronic market they are small level small size sensors to large scale sensors are available.  all sensor types can be chosen by scale of work or field of work. 

 For example :    Tesla cars  have an automatic driving facility,  this automatic driving facility working with the help of this sensor. 

There are two types of sensors are available

•  Active sensor
•  Passive sensor

1. Active sensor

 Active sensors are giving our own power to measure any changes in the environment.  For example, an active sensor is an ultrasonic sensor.

The ultrasonic sensor can produce and ultrasonic signals through the transmitter,   in the Sonic waves Travels Air,  it can hit any object  the microwave sound returns to the receiver. 

Lesson 6 sense information of sound Travel   information to microcontroller. The microcontroller calculates the distance between the object within the sensor. 

2.   Passive sensor

The passive sensors don't use their own power to detect and remove the changes,  any off light and other sources from the name  environment it can detect by itself.  the sensor information sense to the microcontroller unit. 

 best example of passive sensor :  temperature sensor is a best example of passive sensor,  it should not give our own power to detect the temperature.  It can be sensed by our environmental changes.
